Growing up, many kids look at a person with perfect grades and say “How do you do it?” Then you add on top of that, the grind that it takes to be an athlete competing at the highest level… How do they do it?
Our O3T Program focuses on finding these kids who maintain the highest standard in their grades, train hours upon hours a week on the mat and still keep a positive attitude to be a walking example amongst their community. Once the season begins, these kids are competing weekend after weekend against another wrestler who is literally trying to dominate them. They endure the pressure from their coaches, their parents, and their peers to win every match and have to deal with the emotional struggle that comes when they lose. Then after the weekend is over, they’re back in the classroom and then back on the mat.
You would think that these kids, ages 6-18 would be tired. Some would even accuse their parents of being overbearing, tyrannical, and too hard on their kids. It’s probably not uncommon for these kids to consider quitting because taking it easy doesn’t sound so bad. It’s a pretty understandable reaction, when you think about it.
With the curiousity, we gathered some of our O3T together to see their faces… Their worn down and tired from high expectation faces. We put them in front of our camera and want to show the world the outcome of a competitive student athlete. This is what we found:
These are O3T, Official Tri-Titans, Athletes who strive to be model students, model athletes, and model members of their community. They work hard, they have high goals, and they don’t give up. They Inspire Greatness. But at the end of the day, they’re still kids!
